Fresh Strawberries, Anyone?

Thanks to everyone for the great comments yesterday! Knowing Christ makes such a difference! We can be sad, we can hurt--it's hard! But we have hope for each day and hope for the future. God gives strength and grace. We carry on! Be sure to read all the comments on yesterday's post.

On Tuesdays I try to feature some practical help and ideas for dealing with the "new normal"-- single life.

Have you ever tried "Pick Your Own" fruits and vegetables, or a local farmers market? The produce is so much better than what you'll find at the grocery store! Strawberries peaked last week here in the Midwest, but there are plenty of peaches, corn, green beans, tomatoes and so much more to come! Bridgett put some sweet pictures of strawberry picking on her blog just the other day. (There's a link to her blog in the right side-bar and she lists many great books and sites for widows, too). But, back to our topic for today--Locally grown can mean fresher fruits and vegetables and funner (is that a word?) shopping!

Fun is good--
(nutrition is good, too, although I personally find it tedious and I have a strong-willed car that loves drive-thrus. I'll be driving along, coming up to Chick-fil-a or DQ and oops--it's turning in, lol)
