This song will give you plenty to meditate on over the weekend, and plenty of opportunity to drop the knee and worship the Lord. I think it goes hand-in-hand with Psalm 77 that we looked at on Wednesday.
Take time to rest your body and soul this weekend. Grief is exhausting work; margins of doing nothing more than staring off into space are necessary and normal. Be kind to yourself.
Let me send a "thank you" to Kelly C. for prompting me to post this song at this time. It's one of her favorites, and I love it, too. What if trials of this life really are God's mercies in disguise?

I listened to this song yesterday for the first time because I was lead to it via Midday Connections. I immediately forwarded it to a couple of friends. It went hand in hand Roth my June 15 reading in "Streams in the Desert".
ReplyDeleteThat's really cool, Cicero. Sometimes it's like God wants to be sure we hear Him; He doesn't mind repeating Himself.
ReplyDeleteI second the 'thank you' to Kelly C. I also thank you, Ferree for following through with the suggestion, for it is truly a post that we all should take to heart. Words alone can never express my gratitude for this blog, for your caring heart ... I almost feel like a child that has been given permission to 'just rest' ...
