These words from this song have carried me through many days of grief, and I pray they'll mean a lot to you, too. Rest well this weekend.

You're not alone. Here's a safe place, a growing place, a way out of the shadows of grief . . . This blog provides resources and Biblical direction for helping you trust Jesus through one of life's most difficult challenges.
Thank you for taking the time to comment. I am not always able to reply but your remarks mean a lot to me and will appear as soon as possible.
Here are some tips for commenting:
Remember to click the Publish button when you are done.
Choosing the anonymous identity is easiest if you do not have your own blog.
Using a computer rather than a cell phone seems to work better. Thanks again!
This was part of my soundtrack during my darkest days, too.
ReplyDelete"So if I stand let me stand on the promise
That you will pull me through
And if I can't, let me fall on the grace
That first brought me to You
And if I sing let me sing for the joy
That has born in me these songs
And if I weep let it be as a man
Who is longing for his home"
Hits the nail on the head.
Those last two lines always said it for me, Joannah. Our citizenship is in heaven, and I long for it too. Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteDear anonymous,
ReplyDeleteIt might seem like nothing matters, but the truth is---YOU matter. Widowhood is a difficult challenge and the sadness and loneliness knock the wind out of us all. I hope you can join a Lifeboat group on Facebook, or find a GriefShare group in your area. They are little steps, but they bring pretty big turnarounds after a while. We're not meant to do this alone and God has some good people for you to meet. I'll be praying for you and I hope to hear from you again.
