Veteran's Day Tribute

Let's never forget our servicemen and women, both past and present, and also the era when our country's leader, even though imperfect, had the freedom to pray like this.
I'm thankful to live in a country where I am currently free to have and express individual opinion and religion. I'm thankful for archives like this that alert us to the threat of censorship in the name of political correctness that we currently face.
And, taking liberty to add one more thing I'm thankful for---I'm thankful for those men and women who serve in all branches of our military. I count it a privilege to live here in Dayton among those who serve at Wright-Patterson airforce base; I count it a privilege that my father honorably served in the Navy in the Korean War, and his father in the Army during WWII; and I count it an honor to have a nephew, Austin, in Afghanistan right now with his wife and soon new baby in Colorado, plus my friends with sons and daughters currently serving in the armed forces, and those who served in Vietnam and Iraq. God keep them!
