Oh Ferree, that was beautiful. The mouths of babes as they say. I had to hear it from children to make me really listen...God bless all the dads, here on earth, waiting for us above, and most of all our Father in heaven. Chris DC ps forgot the tissue, you did warn us....
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way Chris, thank you for letting me know your thoughts about it. Praying for you and for all of us for whom Fathers Day is entirely different experience. Most of all though, I love how the video illustrates I John 3:1 "Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God!..."
DeleteThey are darling! I have watched some of their other videos and loved hearing their sweet voices speak God's truth. They are blessed to have parents who love the Lord.
ReplyDeleteFathers Day is a hard one for me. Michaela doesn't know any different, but I know what we're missing. And sometimes it's hard to be at peace with why things are the way they are. I had a sweet friend and my in-laws wish me a Happy Fathers Day, but I don't consider myself to be anymore than a mother. Fathers have a unique, God-given role in a child's life, and no matter how well I provide and protect, I cannot be Michaela's father. So my heart hurts for her. Sigh...
Would you believe I was just wondering how you were doing the other day? God laid you on my heart and prayers---even though Michael can't be with you right now---God is. I know it hurts though. ((hugs))
DeleteI forwarded to some
ReplyDeleteof the members of my church since we have a lot of adopted children and we also
have a ministry to educate people on adoptions.
I love your website and it is one of the first I open daily.
Thanks for keeping me on your email list. Many blessings, Mary
That's awesome Mary! This is such a great video and I'm sure it speaks for all those who are adopted, and it speaks to me too, because I've been adopted and redeemed by my Heavenly Father God!
