If you've read my book, Postcards from the Widows' Path, you might recall toward the last chapter how I got caught standing in a rainbow, and then viewed it beaming across Lake George in Ticonderoga, New York. I never dreamed that I'd return to the area to live... but I will!
In less than a month! We finally found a house to buy! God provided in spite of my doubts. No wonder I haven't sent out a blog post lately. I apologize, but I know you will all understand. And I thank you sooo much for praying for me, and those who've sent sweet and hope-filled notes. Truly, you carried me through some rough days this year! It was exactly one year ago that my husband, Tom, and I bought this house in North Augusta, SC. Our closing date was Nov. 10th if I remember correctly. But we hardly got settled when he was once again out of work. Our future, like so many of my widowed friends, (and Tom and I were both widowed too) was a blank slate. A scary blank slate.
But you stuck with me, and I will stick with you. I will have to go silent during the month of December until the computer is unpacked and set up. And I won't be able to sell any books in December because I need to do some business paperwork.
However, if you need some copies of my book, now is the time! I have less than 100 left. I won't order another printing until January, so if you will need any for Christmas gifts, compassion to a widow friend, or for a group that hopes to start after the new year, please order them right away. I will not be able to take any orders after November 30th.
Ordering is very easy, just click on my Bookstore at the top of this blog. If you receive this post in your email though, you'll need to get to the blog itself. That's easy too! Just click the title in your email---MOVING! In Less Than A Month!
If you'd like the book to be shipped directly to someone, either enter their address with the Paypal order or email it to me at wcplace@gmail.com. I can enclose a gift card--please tell me how you want it signed. I'm sorry I cannot giftwrap.
It's another adventure (I've reminded the Lord I've had more than enough, haven't you too?) but His plans are so much better than our own, and I'm learning that He always works things out for our good and His glory---which is also for our good! A double helping of goodness!
